Material

Material

100% extrafine merino wool, spun and finished in Italy. The yarn is a 100% natural material, not post-treated with chlorine to achieve Superwash and contains no synthetic fibers. Certification is Oeko-Tex. Read more about material and production here.

Our yarn is of very high quality, among the softest yarns and therefore very comfortable to use, also because it is light, breathable and antibacterial. Despite being an exclusive yarn, it may eventually develop slight pilling where there is wear, e.g. under the armpits. This can be gently removed using a wool comb or a wool shaver and will decrease after a few treatments. Lay the blouse flat on an ironing board and smooth out any wrinkles before using the shaver.

Environmental considerations

Neck label and Care label are sewn on with a few stitches and are easily removed, after which the material is 100% biodegradable. Merino wool should be washed much less often than cotton and synthetic textiles. This results in less environmental impact. Initially, wash a little more often to make the fibers felt together, thus minimizing pilling.

The blouse comes with a small remnant of the yarn, so there is an option to repair instead of discard if an accident occurs.

Wash and care

Merino wool is self-cleaning and does not need to be washed as often as, for example, cotton and materials containing synthetic fibers. Avoid frequent washing, as it wears on your product and also has a poor impact on our environment. Instead, hang merino knitwear out to air, preferably on a day with high humidity, and it will then feel fresh and ready to use. Feel free to experiment with how many times you can use your knitwear before washing. However, we recommend washing a few times at the beginning to get the fibers to felt together and thus minimize pilling. Read more under Material.

We recommend hand washing at approx. 30 degrees, i.e. lukewarm water. Use a high-quality wool detergent. Use gentle movements, and then rinse in lukewarm water. Gently squeeze out the water, do not wring. Lay the product flat to dry on a towel, e.g. on a bathroom floor with underfloor heating.

Machine washing is possibly an option if it is a newer washing machine with a gentle wool wash program with max. 400 revolutions. OBS! This is done at the customer's own risk.

The product can be ironed at low heat. To avoid iron marks, place a damp cloth in between. You can also choose to use the steam function on the iron or best of all, a handheld steamer.

After use, thin knitwear is best stored on a hanger so it doesn't crease and is always ready to wear. If there is a risk of moths in the house, store your knitwear in a closed box with a lavender bag. A good rule is to store knitwear that is not freshly washed away from light, as moths like dark environments.
